The Hay Lakes & District Recreation Association manages the Hay Lakes Recreation Hall on Main Street.  The Hay Lakes Municipal Library is also housed in this facility.

Over the years, the Rec Centre has been cared for and had many upgrades and renovations overseen by this Board.  The Committee is made up of a core group of volunteers that ensure this facility continues to support our community.  Many birthday's, celebrations of life, dances and weddings have enjoyed this beautiful venue.

If you would like to volunteer or contribute please consider purchasing an annual membership, the cost for a family is $20.00 and the money raised is used for the upkeep and maintenance of the building that hosts the heart of this community.  You can call Cathy at the number listed below or come to the Village Office and we can sell you a membership on behalf of the committee.

If you are interested in renting a space for a family gathering, a work related business day, or any event please contact Cathy Marusak at 780-878-3825.

Rental Fees are:

Lounge Area is $150.00;

Lounge Area and the Dance Floor together is $200.00; and

the Kitchen Area is $50.00 per day.

The committee meets on the last Tuesday of February, May, September and November.  The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and are located in the lounge area for the Rec Centre.
