The MDP establishes long-term planning and development goals that support the community vision for growth. Every municipality is required to have an MDP under Section 632 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA).
What is a Strategic Plan?
Governance requires broad vision and focus on the goals ahead. The Strategic Plan represents Village Council’s road map for the future.
What is Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework (ICF)?
Under S.708 of the Municipal Government Act, municipalities that share a common boundary are required to have an Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework. The Village of Hay Lakes has an ICF with the County of Camrose that describes those services that benefit residents of both municipalities, and how those services will be delivered.
What is an Infrastructure Study?
The Village of Hay Lakes engaged ISL Engineering to prepare an Infrastructure Study that would assess the condition of the Village’s existing infrastructure. The study also provides a “road map” for upgrading and maintaining the Village’s infrastructure.
